15-Minute Beefy Ravioli Marinara Skillet

Refrigerated ravioli cooks right in marinara after the beef browns, so one skillet covers both the ground-beef and pasta problem without another taco-shaped dinner.

Why it fits tonight: Quick-cooking refrigerated ravioli removes the pasta pot, the beef gives it staying power, and spinach disappears into the sauce without creating another side dish.

Why It Works Tonight

This is intentionally different from the existing taco pasta and beef-orzo dinners. Ravioli brings a stuffed-pasta texture, while marinara keeps the flavor familiar and mild.

15-Minute Beefy Ravioli Marinara Skillet Recipe

Serves: 4 · Prep: 3 minutes · Cook: 12 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 20 oz refrigerated cheese ravioli with a 3- to 5-minute package cook time
  • 24 oz jar mild marinara sauce
  • 2 cups baby spinach
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the beef. Heat a large deep skillet over medium-high heat. Cook ground beef for 5 to 6 minutes, breaking it into small crumbles, until no pink remains and it reaches 160°F (71°C). Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Add ravioli. Stir in marinara plus 1/2 cup water. Bring to a lively simmer, add ravioli, and cover.
  3. Cook until tender. Simmer according to the ravioli package timing, usually 3 to 5 minutes, stirring once gently.
  4. Finish. Stir in spinach until wilted, sprinkle mozzarella over the top, cover for about 1 minute, and serve.

Picky-Eater Move

Keep the spinach concentrated on one side of the skillet, or leave a few ravioli lightly sauced before stirring everything together.

Make It Cheaper

Use half the beef and add a drained can of white beans if that is cheaper in your grocery basket.

Use What You Have

Frozen chopped spinach can replace fresh. Thaw it first and squeeze out excess water.

Lower Cleanup

Use a deep skillet with a lid so the ravioli cooks directly in the sauce instead of boiling in a second pot.

Leftovers Tomorrow

Refrigerate promptly for up to 3 days. Reheat gently with a spoonful of water or extra sauce so the ravioli does not dry out.
